First 2 Matadors on their way to Oslo.....

Well, the Lelya never arrived.................... Ed has offered to refund the buyer. Which is good....... But my two Matadors ? Ed please, what is happening now....? I paid in full in September last year. Since then the "old model" has been replaced by the R3. Will you substitute my initial order with the new model ? And when do you intend to ship, - and from where ?

Hi Ted, Just saw your video on the BSA Forum and have commented there..... As for pigeons, - some areas of the world would call it "pest control" when you shoot them..... In parts of Norway crows represent such a big problem that you even get paid to kill them. A few cents a piece. But alas, hunting with airguns is illegal in this country. Plain stupidity if you ask me...... And the video: Another smacker from your side. Keep them coming....!!!

Ted, - this is just awesome !!! I have run trough all your videos again, and I am learning new things all the time.... Can't wait to receive my two Matadors, but honestly I don't know where they are right now.... The last I heard from Ed was that they were in Estonia ready to be shipped, - and that he was out diving in the Red Sea. Since then I have sent him a couple of emails, - but so far without any reply.... The Casio has been secured, and I am waiting for the mount to arrive. Thanks again for sharing. Hopefully in a few weeks time we may be able to compare notes..... C

First 2 Matadors on their way to Oslo.....

Hi Koljo, Got back from Lanzarote last night after two months in t-shirt and shorts only... I am returning to Lanzarote in jan for 3 weeks (from 3rd until 24th) so if you're around it would be fun to meet.... I have now emailed ED and requested to have my two Matadors shipped ASAP. Apparently they are now in Estonia, so it should not take long to get them here....... There's a long list of curious people who is interested in ED's Matador, - so hopefully I'll have mine very soon........ I've only heard good things about the .25 ones, - but pellet supply may be a bit limited here. I'l

    Code name "MORANA".......

Thanks a million ! I did not know Google could do that...... The translation is not perfect, but I think I have got most of it............ ED: Fancy a review from a Norwegian "airholic", or is it a bit premature..... ?

Ted, From Lanzarote this time: Again great stuff from your side. I cant wait to try to experiment a little myself. I have now secured my CASIO EX-CF150 (from tax-free shop at London Gatwick airport, last one they had), but the mount is still missing. I'll still try to shoot some hs-video though and try to edit same.... I may come back to you and ask for more advice, and I shall definately watch this space as I move on. I am also trying to think of a "switch" that can activate the camera from far or via the trigger. Any ideas ? Cheers.......

First 2 Matadors on their way to Oslo.....

I shall keep one for myself and let the other one circulate among Norwegian fire arms dealers as they have never seen any of the EDguns before. And I think its about time we get our eyes opened. Also its a way of testing import routines and logistics from Russia. Customs may be weird at times... If everything goes all right, - more models/calibers are highly likely........ And yes, I happen to be a very fortunate guy !!!! The little "hide-out" in Lanzarote (Canary Islands) I bought some time late 70ies, and I love being there. I decided already in 1974 that the year I turned 60, I sh

    Lelya #090

Back to topic....: I have been wanting to chrono my Lelya for a long time, and as it was raining today, it was a good day to take her dowstairs to my basement. I have a simple 30 m (may be extended to 50 m) range set up in seconds down there. Its actually the car park under the building, but with everybody away for the weekend, shooting is no problem. My chrono is a CED M2 working with infrared light. Her readings are a bit on the conservative side, typically some 10/15 fps lower than my Chrony's, - but then I have yet to see two chronographs giving exactly the same reading anyway. Ver

I'm familiar with Audrius' regulators that have been fitted into a few AA410s here.... May be one of these days, - the shotstring certainly may be improved, especially for the Lighthunter....

As said, very close, - well done.... From left to right: Falcon Prarie B, cal.22, 40 ft/lbs. Daystate AirRanger cal.22, 50 ft/lbs With a strap: Daystate Huntsman Classic, 30 ft/lbs BSA R10 custom, - shortened and reregged and with Ultra barrel. Cal.22, 25 ft/lbs Falcon Light Hunter cal.22, 30 ft/lbs AA SL410 Carbine, cal.22 with adjustable power (as they all have) And a true collectors item: Theoben Fenman GasRam, cal .177 Daystate AirWolf MVT, cal.22, 40 ft/lbs - and as you rightfully pointed out, - the AA Evolution on the table top......... And yes, the Rapid is missing as well

Nice picture may be, - but nasty shooting conditions. If you drop your Lelya here, - you probably never find her again: http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss44/zocoloco/da8fbaa3.jpg

First 2 Matadors on their way to Oslo.....

No problem...... !!! In the meantime I shall have to suffer here: http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss44/zocoloco/6c45816a.jpg and here: http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss44/zocoloco/acf7ea15.jpg in order to get away from this: http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss44/zocoloco/8b1e0291.jpg The downside is that I shall have to shoot with this while I am away: http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss44/zocoloco/20091023Extreme1.jpg - and that partly explains why I want two Matadors....... Doesn't it.... ?
  21. Ed has confirmed they're on their way......... Both cal.22 std Matadors for review and testing here. Customs may be weird at times, and it seems that every customs officer has his own way of interpreting the gun laws, - so this is truly going to be an interesting exercise..... Norway has no power limits on airguns. In cal.177 anybody above the age of 18 may buy and use whatever he wants. Above cal.177, registration of the gun is required by the police but that is just a formality. More important is the rule that all registered firearms (powderburners and airrifles alike) shall have t

I fully agree...... The entire idea behind Lelya is that she is supposed to be small and nasty. And a heavy weight scope would actually ruin the entire concept. But as I am veeery curious as to what she is capable of in terms of accuracy with various pellets, - she will have to accept a heavier scope for a while as well as being tied down to a bench.... But the Leupold EFR 3-9x33 will certainly remain her favorite companion in the field......... Not too bad..... Any others ...???

Thanks everybody... Yes it is a nice place. And it's where I do most of my shooting/testing for the Norwegian forum where I am one of the senior moderators and where I write reviews of anything from guns to pellets and various accesories.... I spend 6 weeks there every summer. This is a part of "the harem" that accompanied me this summer: http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss44/zocoloco/Guns/58a9ced9.jpg Now, - give it a go and try to name them all from left to right........ An improvised 50 mtes/55yds range has been set up with a CED M2 chronograph working with infrared light.

    Lelya #090

Hi guys, Allow me a little update on my Lelya 090........ I spent the weekend in my summerhouse on an island off the coast of Norway, - and as summer has gone, - there is not much else to do but shoot a little (or a lot ! ) I had brought Lelya with me in my bag, and set her up with one sandbag only to support in addition to my shoulder: http://i560.photobucket.com/albums/ss44/zocoloco/Guns/ca296b7a.jpg Some may have noticed that I have changed mounts. I really needed high mounts for eye comfort, and she was much easier to handle after I changed. My target was set up at 55 mts/
